Organising a funeral can seem an overwhelming task when coping with your own grief, but you do not have to face this alone. I will be there to guide you in planning the service and support you on the day. At Saffron Ceremonies, I understand how important it is that you are able to say goodbye to your loved one in a way that reflects their life, their personality, their wishes and beliefs. Rituals drawing people together are universally recognised as helping the healing process, so having the right ceremony is really important. Although many services are held at crematoriums, I also conduct graveside services, natural burials and memorial services outside in gardens, woodlands or on the coast. No location is out of bounds.
In my ceremonies, I will include whatever your family wishes, whether this is an intimate, personal farewell or a large celebration of life. Live music, poems, readings, prayers or symbolic rituals, you decide what is right for you. I'll make it happen.
I love family and friends getting involved in both the planning and delivery of the ceremony, in whatever way or to whatever extent they choose. As everyone copes with grief in different ways and at different times, I will be there to support you throughout.
My value is on respecting the individual. I will do everything possible to make sure your loved one's service is a fitting tribute.

I understand how hard this time can be. Having lost people I've loved myself, I truly empathise with you and recognise the importance of compassion as well as practical advice.
In order to create your bespoke service, we need to meet in person or virtually. During our meeting, I hope to find out as much as possible about your loved one and the type of ceremony you would like. I will meet with as many family members or friends as you would like and am always interested in different people's memories.
I will then write the ceremony (and eulogy if required) before sending you a draft copy to check. I am happy to make as many amendments as necessary to ensure that the tone and content are just right. I will work in close partnership with your Funeral Director to make sure everything runs smoothly.

As services are becoming more personal, making choices on behalf of a loved one can be harder, especially at a very emotional time. Many people are deciding to plan their own service, to help their loved ones in the early days of their grief. This might be as simple as deciding on cremation or burial, music to include and readings, or go into greater depth by writing your own eulogy and crafting personal messages to pass on. I can meet with you to discuss your wishes and help you construct the ceremony you hope for, enabling me to support you and your loved ones at a time of need.
