Hi there! Welcome to Saffron Ceremonies.

I'm Charlotte and I'm a certified independent celebrant based down here in beautiful Cornwall.

I cover each of life's biggest events and absolutely love working closely with a couple or a family to create a unique and memorable ceremony that truly reflects them or their loved one.

I am creative, imaginative and openminded and I am passionate about making each ceremony truly personal. Whether you are looking for a celebrant for a wedding, naming ceremony, renewal of vows or funeral, I will craft a totally unique ceremony and deliver it with care, warmth and confidence giving you memories that last forever.

Celebrating the individual is at the heart of what I do. I love getting to know new people and hearing their stories, and it gives me immense satisfaction to craft ceremonies that make these the main focus. I have years of experience when it comes to public speaking so you can trust me to deliver your ceremony with clarity, confidence and care. My clients describe me as warm, friendly, reassuring, professional, empathetic and imaginative. I am creative, fun-loving and openminded, and adore building on new ideas to make truly unforgettable celebrations. You can be confident that with my background in education and events management, I will help ease any stresses and am always happy to go the extra mile.

 

I work in association with my daughter, Merrewyn, who is another certified independent celebrant, and we love sharing ideas and supporting each other. It also means that in the unlikely event I was ill, you can rest assured that your ceremony would still go ahead with the same care, warmth and professionalism.

Free from traditional restrictions, as Independent Celebrants I:

    listen to what is really important to you and what you hope for in the ceremony

    draft a well-structured, personalised script in consultation with you to ensure you are entirely happy with your ceremony prior to the day itself

    can officiate ceremonies in any location, from castles to cliffsides, barns to beaches...your venue, your choice

    am not restricted by time so your ceremony can be at whatever time of day you like and rest assured no one will be clockwatching! I only do one wedding a day so you'll never be rushed and will have my sole attention

    will include your chosen readings, live music, rituals and any traditional elements you wish to keep - nothing legal is off limits!

Our wedding was wonderful, just a shame it didn’t go on a bit longer! We are so glad we, or should I say Andrew, found you, you made our day.

Also thanks for your advice on the morning before the ceremony for getting my engagement ring off. I think I eventually used a whole bottle of fairy liquid and loads of ice. I am sure it was not what you expected to be dealing with when setting up, but you did a great job of calming my nerves.
